Hi,
I applied for H1 last year and got H1 approved for 9 months. (they counted all my stay on H4). Now H1 expired on 25th Nov and applied for H4 on 15th Nov before H1B expires.
I wants to take advantage of New memo of USCIS. Can I apply for H1B with different employer than earlier one while my H4 case is pending?
Or shall I wait until I gets H4 approval and they apply for H1B.
Please help me on this.

We have not done anything to my passport yet. We initially thought of getting my name changed but for now we have kept it in the "to do list".. Not sure when will be able to get to it...

Change the I140 to premium processing. If you are at your end of 6th year and if you have less than six month in your visa, you can apply for premium processing.

Please while protesting, Try to position yourself in ways where the society will accept you. I took sociology and learnt a great deal and I feel minorities need to find a common ground and establish themselves with a new society. Please do not make them detest us or bully us in anyway. Hi All,
I got my COS from H4 to F1 approved in first semester itself (Fed-2010), now my questions is I don�t have plans for going to India in next couple of years so after completing my masters can I apply for OPT without having the F1 Visa stamping OR should I have to get F1 Visa stamping in India in order to get the OPT after my masters.

Hello All,
I have applied for my 485 in July 2007 and I have received receipt notice for 485 application as well. I also got the appointmnet for FP. I moved to a new location and address has chaged now. If I update my address in USCIS, What are the consequences?
I still have access to the mail in my old address as my friend lives there.
Please suggest.

U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) today announced a final rule that adopts, without change, an interim rule to improve the integrity of the Employment Eligibility Verification (Form I-9) process. USCIS received approximately 75 public comments in response to the interim rule, which has been in effect since April 3, 2009.
The main changes made by the interim rule and adopted by the final rule include: prohibiting employers from accepting expired documents; revising the list of acceptable documents by removing outdated documents and making technical amendments; and adding documentation applicable to certain citizens of the Federated States of Micronesia and the Republic of the Marshall Islands.
Employers must complete Form I-9 for all newly hired employees to verify their identity and authorization to work in the United States. The list of acceptable documents that employees may present to verify their identity and employment authorization is divided into three sections: List A documents, which show identity and employment authorization; List B documents, which show identity only; and List C documents, which show employment authorization only.
The final rule will be published in the Federal Register tomorrow and will be available at www.uscis.gov (http://www.uscis.gov). The final rule is effective on May 16, 2011. Employers may continue to use the current version of the Form I-9 (Rev. 08/07/2009) or the previous version (Rev. 02/02/2009). My EAD Renewal application receive date is 03/16/2009...I got FT Job offer , but don't have any EAD in hand..company is not willing to transfer H1..I did paper filing...any idea how long its going to take to get the EAD in hand..

but what i think is -->
since u have a new born Kid in india which u wish to bring to the US, i think that would be only possible at this point if you sponsor a H4 for him. And for you to sponsor h4 for him means you will need to continue to be on H1 visa.
Your decision to continue to use H1, will not affect your Ead/AP. But once again, until you apply 485 for your kid , it will need H4 status to remain in the US, hence forcing u to stay on H1.
