Hi ,
I was working for company A and got my labor and I-140 approved and then i changed to company B. My priority date is jan 2005. Is there any way that i can continue my green card process with company A. WOuld be of great help if somone can tell me if there is any way to do it.

Folks, let us concentrate on sending the output of all the good analysis done by various members to this person who it appears has a job to identify and recommend systemic fixes. It would be far more useful than sharing woes amongst ourselves in these b-boards.

For EB2 & EB3 category people it is the Date on which Labor was filed.:)
For EB1 category people it is the Date on which I-140 was filed.:)
For EB1 category people it is the Date on which I-140 was filed.:)

- If I get a new H1 sponsored (NOT a transfer of existing H1) and join a new company in a totally different job family (New H1 is not an issue because it is from a H1 cap exempt organization)
AND
- Also maintain the current H1 (I will continue part time work here to get minimum wage)
- Will continue my GC process with this co
I know this is possible but I want to know if there are any potential issues here that can jeopardize my current GC process. I am willing to do this only if my current GC process is not hurt in any way.
the second H1 should be marked for concurrent employment. As long as you follow all rules of the H1 LCA, there is no problem.

hi, i recently filed 485,EAD,AP for my wife and the attorney asked for check of $1010/- that includes unlimited EAD renewals.
Is this really possible ? Please advise.

My H1B LC says that I got hired as software engr. But later, they promoted me to Sr Software Eng ...
Now my labor cert says Software Engr.
I think its not a problem but just want to make sure. My lawyer didnt even care.

Hi,
The last time I came back into this country, I used my AP as I didn't have my H1 stamped. My H1 is valid till 2010.
My EAD expired last month and my bumbling lawyer did not send in the I-485 copy and hence there was an RFE. So I still do not have an EAD approval.
Would it be safe to get paid this month or should I have my company process this month's salary after I get my EAD approved?

The silence from those of us not affected by the green card process who are legal immigrants is annoyingly deafening. The entire economy has picked up now and yet legislation takes forever to pass!
What does it take for lawmakers to turn their heads? People holding placcards and signs on streets protesting? Is that the only way to have something heard? Obviously, written articles such as these isn't helping!

have EAD but never used.
Inside the job description there are entitled strong software background - job duties included programming and software development also. As a requirement a 3year of Software Engineering experience was entitled also.
Situation: Laid off, but received a job offer letter. BUT the position is "software engineer" job code is some 15-XXXX.
Detailed job description/duties will be the same;
Old employer/layer is not revoking anything, willing to help.
Will this stand if they request an EVL or later on the road?
According to my research they not strict about the job codes they more go by the job description and duties.

I don't know about F/P notice, but for sure it can not be RFE
i believe pre-adjudication does not even show on the status.

Given that you filed in Dec 2002, it is very possible that your labor petition has already been certified or at least adjudicated.
You need to talk to your company/HR and get this resolved. Impress on them the importance of knowing the status of your petition.

Indian banks usually issue a check/banker's check in name of educational institute.You don't need to pay any tax on it.Then that check is deposit to Univ's/Institute's registrar/bursar office.
