I did a very similar thing.
My h1b expires in sept 07, and an extension was applied in april 07. My PD became current in June, and I applied for AOS with AP and EAD.
Approval for my H1B extension came through mid June (after AOS application) and only for 1 year (as opposed to 3 if my PD was not current).
I now have AP approval and EAD is still pending, but I'm planning on using these to travel with when fully realized.

No, you don't have to be employed while in EAD but do remember GC is future job, if have something to show them then you are safe.

No. Both times it was a large company (one has an agreement with a big law firm to handle immigration-related issues). I asked my current employer's attorney about it and she told me not to worry, they never had issues with AC21 portability (employer has 120,000+ employees). She was right regarding my case.

Are you just trying to get people to click somewhere so that it generates ads revenue for you. The links you provided only open up windows that shows ads. I think you are a thug because don't have correct profile here, at the same time you are using some other webiste to track your GC to generate revenue for someone else, and now you are trying to lure people to visit that site. 08/04 LUD on your I485 should be for approval. What does the message read? I had received RFE. They received the response for RFE on 08-01 for which there was LUD on 08-01. There was another LUD on 08-03. another one on 08-04. The status reads: "On August 1, 2008, we received your response to our request for evidence. We will notify you by mail when we make a decision or if we need something from you. If you move while this case is pending, call customer service. You should expect to receive a written decision or written update within 60 days of the date we received your response unless fingerprint processing or an interview are standard parts of case processing and have not yet been completed, in which case you can use our processing dates to estimate when this case will be done. This case is at our NEBRASKA SERVICE CENTER location. Follow the link below to check processing dates. You can also receive automatic e-mail updates as we process your case. I also called the number 202-224-7703. The lady told me that, it is scheduled for hearing this fall and we can check on Website judiciary.senate.gov . She said, usually they post the date, 1 week before the hearing in the committee. She is also told that, she is going to pass on the message for hearing, to the senators.

I do not know my PD. But my labor was filed sometime in Dec 2006.

I had this issue with my labor not with I140. My employer provided all the required documents and then it was approved. As long as your company is financialy sound . you should get approved.
BTW, when did you file your I-140?

Hello Attorney,
My wife received a RFE on her I-485 for missing medical test (TB test).
The deadline for responding to RFE is May 9th. She is out of the country currently and is scheduled to return on June 3rd.
Can we request an extension of time to reply to RFE based on hardship?
We just need one more month to comply with RFE.
Does USCIS normally provide extension for situations like the one above?
I took an infopass appointmnet at Baltimore and they couldn't offer a concrete answer since the case is pending with TSC. They asked me to reply to RFE asking for extension and provide supporting documents. I'm not sure if that would be accepted and results in denial of I-485.

yes you can. Since your PD indicates your LC is >365 days old.
new H1 is same as transfer, there is no real difference in application etc. I assume you are moving from AOS-pending/EAD to an H1.

I was not aware of the 120 days... I filed my wifes EAD day 138 days before expiry (should have been more carefull!)... So what happens now? Rejection? Denial? RFE?

That is one option but given that I am not on H1 and nor with the same employer - it may not be the way to go. This is something I am going to look into and have an attorney weigh in on. Thanks!

The time to do that is when the PD on the newly approved 140 becomes current.
From your explanation, now that your old PD is current and the 140 for that is approved, you will have to ask that interfiling occur by sending a letter to USCIS with a copy of the new 140.
If you have done this, then the message you got could be that USCIS is ready to review your file by October. A congratulation may be in order here because I believe you will soon get your GC.

Point is not wikipedia or other site. They should be relying on information provided in proper legal format and not on some internet based site. Example if some one is working for Microsoft and if I google the keywords I might get some website which says how MS products are bad and how Bill Gates has stolen technology from XEROX etc. Which is all nonsense and no way concerns with the application in hand's of the IO. So they have the liberty to ask for more information where ever they need but they should not prejudice themselves by reading internet based information.

I am in similar situation in regards to my wifes H1B and EAD situation. Following is my understanding but could be wrong. there are gurus in this forum who have been digging rules for years and would certainly point out any indiscrepancies in my reply. Make sure you keep reading the thread for a couple of days.
I am currently living in the US on H4. I will be getting my H1 approval in a couple of weeks.

Then start the new GC process with a request to transfer the priority date. It is best not to join the new company till the H1 and the new I-140 gets approved, in this way if some thing goes wrong, you have your current company to fall back.
