Hi,
I applied I-485,EAD,Advance Parole on July 20,2007 but i have not yet received any receipt number as of now.
During that time I could not able to apply for my wife. She will be coming to USA on H4 visa in the mid of October.
what are the possibilities to include her in my greencard process?
Please educate me on this situation to take care of my wife's greencard process with my GC process and also please share your experiances if some one has similar kind of situation.

I-140 Filed -----------------------------------> Aug-2006
I-140 Approved --------------------------------> November 2006
I-485 applied only for myself --------------> July 20,2007

See it does not matter who files, out of state or local. Main thing is if an RFE comes, will your company be willing to give him all details.............. you have to understand, with new attorney it is just you who is filing at the moment, so for just one case will the company give all his financial details (if asked for).

I live/work in california - and on the I-485 form it says the address is :

but it also says in the first few lines in the form:

My case went directly to CSC for H1 extension and is pending since July 10 any idea others have same problem.

Guys, please don't start Indian firm bashing here. This site is being visited by people of other nationalities as well as offices of the lawmakers. I totally agree with black_log. Involving Indian firm or trying to use Indian political influence can cause sever damage to our cause. Its not just applies India abut any nation other than US. Unfortunately this is not the first thread of its kind.
Instead of having TCS, Infosys or Wipro trying to put influence why cant we have companies like Google, Intel, Micrsoft, Cisco or Yahoo. Their voices will be heard with respect.

There may be other avenues to get AP for a longer period. EAD nothing to do with your 485 processing. Without EAD you can get AP if 485 is pending.

I plan to go back to school in Spain - starting November 2009. The program ends in December 2010. However, my EAD expires October 2010.

Folks, let us concentrate on sending the output of all the good analysis done by various members to this person who it appears has a job to identify and recommend systemic fixes. It would be far more useful than sharing woes amongst ourselves in these b-boards.

I know people work for county on EAD, but can one be employed by the US government on EAD?
I work for State government on EAD. My agency's HR didnot/does not have any knowledge, had to involve local Immigration lawyers and State immigration lawyers to educate them. I have to be forthcoming and provide/sign new I-9's whenever my EAD is renewed.

Hello,
My 6 years on H1B is going to expire in Oct 10. I want to file for extension but the lawyer says that i can do it only after Mar 10 that is 6 months before h1b expires.
I have to visit my home country in May 10 and i wanted to go with my new h1b documents.
Can you please suggest if i can file now or is there really a timeframe before we file?
Sorry forgot to mention, I have approved I140.

My EB2 perm labor was approved recently and thinking of filing I 140.
Trying to port my EB3 PD, 09/23/2003 to EB2.
I missed filing I 1485 for my wife in july 2007.
My question is if I go ahead and file I 140 premium for me , lets say it gets approved soon ,my dates will be current.Should I file I 485 for my wife then ?
What happens if they approve my I 485 before I file my wife's 485.
How long it took for you to get the labor aproved?. What are steps and duration it took?

(Client is not providing any letters to "consultants")
I have an Approved I-140 and Pending I-485(EB2 PD Oct 2006).
Currently working using EAD
Question -
What kind of implications will this have on my I-485 application?
Is there something that i can do to like change my current employer etc,,
to save myself? Or is this the end of my immigration journey.
